Advent and Christmas 2024

We look forward to welcoming you to the Ascension this Advent and Christmas.

Sunday 1st December Social Sunday 12.30pm

Join us for fruit and cake after the Sanctuary service.

Tuesday 3rd December Amos Trust Carol Service 7pm

An evening of music, film, poetry, conversation and special guests from Palestine.

Friday 5th December Hulme Winter Festival 4pm - 6pm

Family activities at the Ascension from 4pm including Santa’s Grotto, refreshments, make your own present tag, free hot meals. There will also be a Christmas lights switch on and carols at Hulme Park at 4pm and activities at the Zion Centre and Z-Arts.

Sunday 8th December Carol Service 11.30am

With guest speaker Rev Nick Watson preaching and Women of Worth Choir. There will be Sunday School activities for the children.

Sunday 8th December Fire and Gold 7pm

An hour of communal stillness and an Advent reflection.

Thursday 12th December

Radical Reading Room 5.30pm - 6.30pm on theme of hope and

Table 7pm -8.30pm with a shared supper and stories on the theme of hope.

Sunday 15th December Scratch Nativity 11.30am

Come along dressed as a character from the nativity story.

Thursday 19th December Eucharist 12 noon

Mulled wine and Christmas treats served afterwards.

Saturday 21st December Christmas meal 4pm

Sign up for a Christmas meal at the Ascension.

Sunday December 22nd Alternative Christmas Service 11.30am

Readings and Christmas carols led by Fr Mark.

Wednesday 25th December Christmas Day Eucharist 10.30am
